YPF says it is present at the main event on corn in Argentina to show all its offer of hybrids, fertilization and protection for the crop. This is the Maizar Congress, which takes place on May 31 in Buenos Aires.

The specialist recalled that Illinois has a simple, solid and versatile portfolio, which has the full support of GDM's Research and Development area and is exclusive to YPF Agro.

For the next corn campaign, the 2023/24, the pallet has the following materials:

• IS 799 VT3P-TRE is the hybrid with the highest yield potential, which adapts to early and late planting dates, and has an excellent sanitary and agronomic profile.

• IS 782 VIP3, with VIPTERA technology, with excellent yield potential, stability and very good sanitary behavior, as well as wide adaptability in areas and environments.

• IS 550 VT3P-RR2 is a hyper-early hybrid, with only 104 days of relative maturity, which provides maximum handling versatility.

• IS 695 MGRR2, intermediate cycle material, with excellent sanitary profile, adapted to early sowings in environments of medium and high productivity in the core zone.

"Proper fertilization, with SUMMA YPF Agro, is the ideal strategy to enhance the yield of our hybrids," Lemos advised.

It is a system that integrates the most modern tools of precision agriculture to make an intensive setting of the lots, to be able to sow the optimal density of seed and to have a variable nitrogen fertilization also adjusted to the needs, to maximize, in this way, the yield of the corn of Illinois.

The Maizar Congress is held under the slogan "Co-creating the bioeconomy" and important national and international experts participate, touching on all the topics that have to do with the crop and its productive chain, one of the most important for the Argentine economy.

In this context, Lemos indicated that YPF Agro's proposal is to highlight that "with the technology available in seeds and nutrition, plus correct agronomic management, it is possible to strongly narrow the gaps that still exist between the yields of corn that are obtained in the field and the potentials that we see in some cutting-edge fields and in our trials."
