A major fire broke out in Berlin-Neukölln on Wednesday evening. According to initial information from the fire brigade, a large warehouse went up in flames in Lahnstraße. It burns in its entirety on about 5000 square meters, said a spokesman. Other adjacent buildings are in danger.
Berlin - Whether people were endangered, remained open for the time being. What was stored in the hall was also not known in the evening shortly after the alarm. The fire brigade arrived with around 120 firefighters, as it announced on Twitter. "Please avoid the area and keep the access roads clear for emergency vehicles," it said.
A huge cloud of dark smoke could be seen from afar over the city. Photos of the column of smoke were posted on social networks, and a number of users expressed concern. Dpa
