The President of the Republic had urged Tuesday not to fight the RN by "moral arguments".

The LR deputy of the Lot Aurélien Pradié said Wednesday that Elisabeth Borne should slam the door in the name of "dignity" after the pension reform and the "humiliation" inflicted by Emmanuel Macron in the controversy on the far right.

«

We have a prime minister who was saved from censure by 9 votes" when a motion was put to the vote on March 20, to allow the adoption of the pension reform, recalled Aurélien Pradié before the Association of Parliamentary Journalists.

« I end up having compassion for Elisabeth Borne »

«

Doesn't a form of political decency, of political dignity require us to go beyond the single figure and say 'I, Prime Minister, no longer have the necessary powers to carry out the policy I wish to execute, and therefore I submit my resignation?'" Returning then to the way Emmanuel Macron reframed his prime minister on the National Rally, Aurélien Pradié considered "very useful to recall history" even if "it is not a political argument".

«

We have a prime minister (...) who is being reframed on a significant subject by the President of the Republic, and everything is fine? I end up having compassion for Elisabeth Borne," he added, believing that "the best thing she could do" would be "maybe to find a kind of political panache that consists of saying thank you and goodbye."

«

All this is a matter of political dignity" and "I pity Elisabeth Borne," added Aurélien Pradié, deploring a practice of Emmanuel Macron's power "of extreme brutality". "Leaking this is a way of humiliating," he said. After this episode, Emmanuel Macron assured Wednesday that Elisabeth Borne had all his "confidence".
