Last month, a young man from Nazareth was arrested after a police chase after driving without a license on Route 79, from the Shfar'am area towards the Mobil interchange. This is after he was recently released from an 18-month prison sentence he served due to convictions for multiple traffic violations.
The officers said they ordered the driver to stop for inspection, and the fleeing driver began speeding toward Route 77 toward the Golani interchange. They also said that the driver was stopped only after 20 kilometers, between the Tur'an local council and the Golani interchange, after police officers from the Kafr Kanna station set up a checkpoint on the road. The footage shows the driver fleeing from officers at high speed, zigzagging between lanes, until he came to a stop at a police checkpoint.
