In the "Tatort" with the title "Azra", the Viennese duo Moritz Eisner (Harald Krassnitzer) and Bibi Fellner (Adele Neuhauser) investigated. A whopping 5.76 million viewers tuned in. This means a quota of 21.4 percent of the total audience.

On Monday, there was a lot on TV: Inka Bause presented the new "Bauer sucht Frau" singles on RTL, the ARD again relied on the "Tatort". But who got the better odds?

Cologne / Vienna – The TV programme on Monday (29 May) catered to a wide variety of tastes. Actually, "Bauer sucht Frau" with Inka Bause (54) was always considered a guarantee for a passable quota for RTL. But can the dome show keep up with a new "Tatort" on ARD?

Inka Bause's "farmer is looking for a woman" singles vs. "Tatort" investigators in Vienna: Who performs better?

Already last week, "Bauer sucht Frau International" had to accept a defeat against "Veterinarian Dr. Mertens" in the ARD. This time there was a foretaste of the upcoming "Bauer sucht Frau" season on RTL at 19:05 p.m. Inka Bause presented the 15 farmers who will be hoping for love in autumn 2023 and called for applications. On ARD, on the other hand, there was something for crime fans to see at primetime. In the "Tatort" with the title "Azra", the Viennese duo Moritz Eisner (Harald Krassnitzer) and Bibi Fellner (Adele Neuhauser) investigated.

In the battle for the ratings, the "crime scene" was vastly superior to all others and also left "farmer seeks woman" far behind, as can be seen from the DWDL number center. A whopping 5.76 million viewers tuned in. For ARD, this means a quota of 21.4 percent of the total audience. Inka Bause's "Farmer Seeks Woman" screening round, on the other hand, brought it to 2.07 percent with 10.9 million viewers.

Which number of spectators set the record in Germany?

On 13 July 2014, ARD made television history: the World Cup final between Germany and Argentina (1-0 a.e.t.) was watched by an estimated 34.65 million people on their own television sets. Crazy: People who watched the game at public viewing or in bars, for example, were not included in this count. The actual number is therefore likely to be considerably higher.

"Tatort" was also a hit with younger audiences

"Tatort: Azra" not only won the day, but was also a success for younger viewers. In the target group of 14- to 49-year-olds, the Austrian crime thriller attracted 1.01 million viewers and thus a rating of 17.5 percent. Even in this target group, the new farmers were only able to attract 0.03 million viewers in front of the screen on "Bauer sucht Frau" and thus achieved a rating of 8.7 percent.

My Area

Against "Bauer sucht Frau" on RTL, the ARD was able to keep up with the "Tatort" this time. Elsewhere, however, the public broadcasters are making things unnecessarily difficult for themselves. On June 3, there is an unnecessary ARD quota war in which Hans Sigl (53) and Barbara Schöneberger (49) compete against Andy Borg (62). Sources used:dwdl.de
