The young man admitted the charges against him during his hearing, before being placed in pre-trial detention. He was finally sentenced in immediate appearance on Tuesday to two years in prison, including a prison with imprisonment, and a three-year ban on demonstrations.
But investigations seem to be continuing into the damage on the sidelines of the demonstrations of recent months. Three individuals who participated in the looting of the Nespresso store on Avenue de Saxe, on April 6, were arrested on Tuesday. They too were identified after several weeks of investigation. Searches of their home uncovered coffee pods at the home of one, aged 20, who admitted stealing them. A coffee maker was found in another, of the same age. He admitted to having stolen it, while the third also admitted his participation in the robbery. The latter two were presented to the Public Prosecutor's Office for trial, while the first was the subject of a probationary criminal warning.
