With a budget devoted to the car that is shrinking due to inflation, drivers who have to embark on repairs are now rushing to used spare parts. Until then, there were 1,700 official breakages listed and now called ELV centers (for end-of-life vehicles) to find happiness. A huge deposit, since each year between 1.5 and 2 million vehicles are boned. This use of the second-hand parts market is literally exploding with a 40% increase in 2022. The rates charged — generally 50 to 70% cheaper than new ones — are no stranger to this success.
