Child custody: doubts about the government's plan

A "strong ambition", but objectives "difficult to achieve". The first measures mentioned by the Premier on early childhood question professionals in the sector. Thursday, Elisabeth Borne drew the first outlines of the "guarantee of reception of the young child" during a trip to Angers. It announced an envelope of 5.5 billion euros for the creation of 100,000 childcare places between 2023 and 2027. And promised 100,000 more places by 2030.

Recovery of the birth rate, access to employment, equal opportunities, support for parenthood... The stakes related to early childhood policy are immense. During his first term, Emmanuel Macron had abandoned this field and acknowledged that the system was "out of breath". Today, he makes it a "presidential priority." Does this new political impetus have the means to match its ambitions?
