Schlager singer Udo Alexander hits every note just like his great role model Roy Black - he wins a competition and sings next at the anniversary party for "Ein Schloss am Wörthersee"

Anzing – Schlager fans have known Udo Alexander for a long time. Again and again, the Starnberger comes to the district for performances or entire solo entertainer evenings. Every month he fills the hall of the Anzinger Forsthof, where he sings his own songs and countless popular old and new hits and creates the best atmosphere. Udo Alexander gets a lot of applause when he sings a song by Roy Black. This very special melting in his voice always frightens the older guests: close your eyes and it seems as if the pop star and actor, who died in 1991, is singing himself and himself!

As if winning an invitation to the anniversary celebration

Udo Alexander's extraordinary voice was not only noticed by the Anzinger Schlagernacht audience. These days, the 46-year-old has received mail from Lisa-Film. The film production company celebrates a big anniversary celebration next week "Ein Schloss am Wörthersee", which is the television series in which Roy Black was seen in his signature role. Lisa-Film has invited Udo Alexander to sing Roy Black hits next Tuesday in the backdrops at Lake Wörthersee. "One song, maybe two," says Alexander happily. The singer has won the previously announced doppelganger competition in singing – the winner in the category of external appearance is – obviously – someone else. Both will perform at the ceremony on June 6.

Even as a child, Roy Black was his role model

"Roy Black has always been a role model for me," says Udo Alexander. At the age of ten, the Starnberg singer received singing lessons and was already singing Roy Black. "There was always a lot of singing in my parents' house," the pop singer recalls. Every year, he continues, Udo Alexander goes to the fisherman's hut in the Heldenstein area. Roy Black always liked to go there when he needed peace and quiet, and Roy Black died there in 1991. The hut no longer stands today, at least not in the original. Instead, a miniature house was set up there, to which the fans still attach their letters and photos to this day.

"Schlager is my life," says Udo Alexander. And so he recently released his first album with twelve tracks, romantically titled "Burned in the Heart". In Neupullach near Hohenlinden, he shot his first music video with his team led by manager Johanna Seitz from Hohenlinden. So there is a lot to do, and after the Wörthersee it goes straight on, also to the district of Ebersberg: Udo Alexander will again take part in the Schlager Day around the Volksfesthalle for the benefit of the Children's Cancer Aid. That will be on June 17th.
