Faced with the prevarications of the executive on the immigration bill, the Republicans have launched a legislative offensive. In the JDD, Eric Ciotti, Bruno Retailleau and Olivier Marleix announced to table two bills on the subject - the first, ordinary, and the second, constitutional. This, to bring a "right-wing solution" to "put an end to an uncontrolled situation". This Thursday, June 1, the right has tabled its first text, whose 48 measures have been reinforced by 7 new provisions that Le Figaro unveils.
The first point provides for a 15-day time limit for the submission of an asylum application. The second proposes the placement of asylum seekers from safe countries in administrative detention centres (ARCs). Secondly, it is also planned to reintroduce the placement of illegal aliens in the CRA as a measure under ordinary law. The 4th measure is the immediate closure of universal health protection rights for rejected asylum seekers. The following provision refers to the abolition of social fares in transport for illegal aliens. It is also recommended that the asylum application be rejected by OPFRA (if necessary, after appeal to the National Commission for Asylum Applications). This rejection is equivalent to OQTF. Finally, the 7th novelty, a foreigner who returns or remains in an irregular situation cannot be regularized.
