In La Teste-de-Buch (Gironde)
In the disfigured alleys of the Flots Bleus campsite, there is already a holiday atmosphere. Under the sun, the mostly international clientele on weekdays, is delighted. Since May 3rd, the iconic open-air hotel is open, at 60% of its capacity. At the entrance, stands the eternal life-size replica of Patrick Chirac, played by Franck Duboscq in the film Camping. Between the 32 lodges, the six canvas mobile homes and solar-powered streetlights, bags of cement, a few cinder blocks, a backhoe and piles of metal sheets line the place. For holidaymakers, the view of the Dune du Pilat, which overlooks the place, has never been so clear. The campsite still bears the traces of last summer's fires.
"The place looks like a desert," admits Nicolas, who came with his wife and two young children for a week. Previously, a pine forest, dense and green, covered this unusual location; Today, only sand remains...
