Maya Wertheimer has not yet landed in Israel, but what is happening here certainly occupies and interests her on a daily level. On Wednesday, she sought to take advantage of her respected platform on Instagram, and shared with her hundreds of thousands of followers her philosophy about reality stars, as she asked how to distribute important tips to her participants.

"Yesterday, a lot of people entered a new world, 'Big Brother,' and 'Dancing,'" Maya noted. "These formats will bring them to places they themselves didn't know. They will change their lives, but there will also be those who will change right from within. They're going to experience something tremendous, which is going to be hard to take into proportional perspective. But ten years from now, these programs will be something wonderful and small in their past, which taught them important lessons," she added.

"He might get them in shape, get them followers, and also introduce them to people who will have friends (for life), and there's a chance that love too. I wish I could put the following sentence into the residents inside The Brother or the people on Dancing with the Stars, who will read this message: These shows are just part of your life! It's not your life!" she stressed.

Later in her speech, she took the time to talk about her traumatic experience related to reality TV. "I once lost someone who was really close to me, because when I needed him, he wasn't there. It was in a one-off film that in ten years won't interest anyone, but I went through a tragedy that is lifelong. My heart was broken, and since then something in me has been cursing these plans," she said.

"So take things in proportion," she returned to speaking to the stars in the making. "Be human, and have fun—just have fun! Don't let prime time destroy the people you are."
