In the future, no one will be able to get by: The municipality of Bad Kohlgrub is switching to video surveillance of the parking lots. Those who have not paid will be reminded.
Bad Kohlgrub - Up and down - permanently. The residents of Badstraße had to endure a lot of traffic in the past. Excursionists drove up, mostly to the Hörnle railway, noticed that the parking spaces were occupied and turned back. Now the municipality has provided relief and erected information boards with online reporting. They went into operation in April, with some remaining work still pending. Road users are now informed about the parking situation at an early stage.
But there is another problem in Bad Kohlgrub. Many don't take it too seriously and don't pull pieces of paper from the machines or simply forget to shell out the fees of five or seven euros. The municipality is now throwing a spanner in the works. Or as the head of the town hall, Franz Degele, put it at the citizens' meeting: "We want to help them." This is done by means of video surveillance including license plate scanning. When exiting the car park, a screen indicates the omission. Then the person in question has a few days to pay the fees due. This summer, probably in August or September, the system will be installed.
