Dießen - This is not a good start for the first men's team of MTV Dießen. In the relegation first leg against TSV Otterfing, the Ammersee footballers lost 1-2 - although MTV "was the better team" according to player-coach Philipp Ropers.
But not at the beginning: The Otterfinger hosts set the tone and took a 7-0 lead in the 1th minute. After a quarter of an hour, the Ammersee team woke up and was able to create some good scoring chances. With the half-time whistle, it was captain Ludwig Schranner who headed a free-kick cross from Philipp Ropers into the goal for the overdue 1-1 equalizer.
In the second half, the game, which was characterized by long balls and set pieces, remained fiercely contested. MTV in particular played forward, but missed the deserved lead despite strong attacks and good scoring opportunities.
In the 90th minute, Otterfing received a penalty for a foul and converted it into a 1-2 winning goal. "We'll be ready for the second leg and win at home," Ropers said ahead of Saturday's home game at 15 p.m. Then the first team of MTV Dießen wants to beat TSV Otterfing at home in the second leg of the relegation - and thus make the march through to the district league perfect.
