Bad Wiessee – Bad Wiessee could get an indoor swimming pool again. This is made possible by a municipal project of the valley communities. A suitable area has already been identified.
In the Tegernsee Valley there will be an indoor swimming pool again. To this end, a working group consisting of all five valley mayors and nine members of the valley communities met last year. A municipal consulting firm was invited to the latest meeting of the working group to "moderate the challenging process," according to the press release. In addition, a feasibility study was commissioned, in which the municipality of Waakirchen also participates financially.
Goal: Municipal swimming for citizens
It is very important to the members of the working group to enable the approximately 25,000 citizens in the Tegernsee Valley to swim as soon as possible. A suitable building site already exists: The indoor swimming pool will be built again in its original place next to the iodine-sulfur bath in Bad Wiessee. "This saves many months of procedural time, as a corresponding development plan is already available on this parcel," the mayors explain.
Financing still needs to be clarified
However, despite the good cooperation, as all AG members affirm, what still needs to be clarified is, among other things, the financing. Since the individual municipalities have different financial situations, "caution must be exercised in order not to create any disadvantages," it says.
