As every year, Parcoursup is the moment that the terminals dread in June. After spending time on applications and cover letters, for each of the courses they have carefully selected, it is time for the answers provided by the institutions.

They still have a few hours to wait before they can act on their file, then like 82.2% of new high school students, they will be able to accept a proposal during this main admission phase. A figure that rises to 87.8% for high school students with a high school diploma in the general stream.

"I feel like I don't have enough value as a student"

On the side of the less well-off high school students, Marina, 18, was refused in her favorite wishes. With specialty ratings of 18 and 19, she is not angry: "The system is not fair to everyone. Some schools miss out on talent and as someone who comes from a working-class neighborhood, only school can be a real springboard for me. I am very disappointed, because I feel that the work does not pay and despite my excellent results, I do not see what more I could have done. »

I feel like I don't have enough value as a student," she adds.

Chaïma, who is aiming for a cinema license, is also on the waiting list for all his wishes. "I don't have too much hope when I see my position in the lists and the positions of the candidates of 2022 there is a huge discrepancy... Places are quite limited and I do not think I have priority unlike students who are directly in post-baccalaureate. »

The next step for these high school students is to wait for their position on waiting lists to change, as the lucky ones accept their vows.
