Wörthsee - Yesterday, Wednesday afternoon, the volunteer water rescue workers of the BRK Wasserwacht am Wörthsee were asked twice.
The first alarm at 14:03 p.m.: an e-boat that has been torn loose and is floating on the lake. The advancing emergency services drove the entire lake and, after an extensive search, could not find a floating boat, so the operation was ended around 15.30 p.m.
Padler missing
A short time later, around 16:30 p.m., the emergency services were challenged again. This time, a surfer was missing from her relatives. The missing woman started with her SUP surfboard from the Rossschwemme bathing place and was driven away by the wind behind the mouse island. After her relatives had lost sight of the 50-year-old for a long time, they dialed the emergency number. A short time later, the Wasserwacht Wörthsee was able to find the missing person safe and sound and still surfing behind the island. The surfer was taken on board, brought back to the Rossschwemme entrance and reunited with the detectors.
Done the right thing
By the way: The detectors have acted completely correctly in this situation. The past Pentecost weekend has shown once again that the dangers in the water should not be underestimated. Therefore, the water rescue service urgently calls for the bathing rules to be observed. In case of emergency, the water rescue service can always be reached via the emergency number 112.
In addition to the Wörthsee water rescue service, the Seefeld, Grafrath and Schondorf rapid deployment groups as well as the operational command service of the Starnberg district water rescue service were also deployed.
