An unknown perpetrator set fire to a newspaper box in Ottobrunn on Wednesday morning. The police are now looking for witnesses.

Ottobrunn – In the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 31, a previously unknown perpetrator set fire to newspapers in a newspaper box on the side of the road in Ottobrunn.

Around 6 a.m., a passer-by noticed the fire that had already gone out. The man himself is a firefighter in the volunteer fire department. He therefore took the still smoldering newspapers and kicked out the embers.

In addition to some burnt newspapers, the plastic cover of the newspaper box is also damaged. The total damage amounts to several hundred euros. Commissariat 13 (arson offences) has taken over further investigations.

The police are now asking the public for help. Who noticed anything on Wednesday, May 31, in the area of Ottostraße, Pestalozzistraße and Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Straße (Ottobrunn)?
