Three years on probation, this is the verdict of the Frankfurt district court against the Bremen Carla Hinrichs, member of the Last Generation.
Frankfurt/Bremen – Climate activist Carla Hinrichs has been convicted again. This time, the woman from Bremen has been sentenced to two months and 60 hours of community service for a road blockade. According to the Kölner Stadtanzeiger, the former law student defended herself before the Frankfurt District Court. The prison sentence was suspended on probation of three years, reports the news portal t-online. Carla Hinrichs had already been sentenced to a fine of 600 euros by a Berlin court for a similar case.
The case now being heard involved a road blockade in Frankfurt in April 2022. In the first instance, Last Generation activist Carla Hinrichs was sentenced to a fine, against which she appealed. As a result, the judge, prosecutor and defendants met in the courtroom. The prosecutor's office demanded a fine of 1800 euros.

This project could have far-reaching consequences. If Carla Hinrichs is convicted again within the probation period, she must serve the two months. In court, however, Hinrichs also made it clear that he was afraid of going to jail. It is not yet clear whether she will appeal the verdict. Hinrichs indicated, however, that she would probably appeal.
