The vice president instructed La Cámpora and Sergio Massa to move forward in the drawing of the strategy and the lists. But the discontent of other sectors that drive competition in the PASO opened more fronts of conflict. The dilemma of the mayors and the dispute over the Evita Movement.

Cristina Kirchner's decision to run away from the discussion by the lists and delegate the conduct of the debate in the tandem that make up Máximo Kirchner and, to a lesser extent, the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, left the Frente de Todos with several fronts of conflict and a climate of confusion and uncertainty prevails in which questions abound.

Far from fulfilling the objective of discouraging competition in the PASO, the order issued from La Cámpora for each pre-candidate to present their own lists of legislators throughout the country gave freedom of action to many sectors to discuss their own electoral armies or approach the campaign owners of Daniel Scioli and Agustín Rossi. Although the bulk of Peronism will play in the structure that today positions Interior Minister Eduardo "Wado" de Pedro, the fear of a low performance worries and mobilizes those who have territorial responsibility: governors and mayors, although they are aligned with the will of La Cámpora, proclaim the idea of being able to carry the ballots of all the candidates.

"I'm not the only one. Nobody wants a mess, we have nothing left over and an internal one could leave us on the verge of rupture," says a president of a northern province, alarmed because he understands that in Kirchnerism "they are not aware of the damage" that an "uncontrolled" PASO could generate. As this newspaper reported, among the mayors of the Buenos Aires PJ, although they did not discuss the order that Maximo Kirchner issued, concern is growing about the armed men who began to outline the other candidates and analyze asking the head of La Cámpora to enable them to carry the ballot of all the candidates.

The impact of Tolosa Paz's announcement

The confirmation of Victoria Tolosa Paz, who on Thursday announced that she will "compete" for the governorship of Buenos Aires, ended up setting off the alarms. A mayor who hours before had doubted before Clarín about the eventual candidacy of the Minister of Social Development, warned about the impact it may have on the territory: "We can lose the Nation, the Province and many municipalities, when are they going to realize that we have to stop fucking around?" A note: he is one of those who days ago posed for the photo with Máximo Kirchner and Wado de Pedro.

But the situation seems out of hand. "They wanted to get us down and empowered us. Now it no longer depends only on them (for La Cámpora) that there is a list of unity because there are many comrades who want to compete, "they challenge from sciolismo.

It happens that Cristina chose to disassociate herself from the armed but instructed La Cámpora to prop up Wado de Pedro. The premise was that the minister would add political wills and support and achieve a critical mass that would allow her to position herself as a mere scribe of an agreement already signed. In her defense, a regular interlocutor of the vice president maintains that it is not due to speculation by what the polls indicate. They remember that already in December, before the economic crisis worsened, she gave way: "Take the marshal's baton, militate, do politics and go out on the field," she claimed hours after being sentenced.

The message was interpreted differently in the FdT. While La Cámpora launched the operative clamor to try to convince her to review her decision not to be a candidate "for anything", in other sectors of the ruling party they saw the possibility of launching and consider that it is too late for them to submit them to a "bath of humility", as she did in 2015, when she lowered all the contenders who had positioned themselves to succeed her. "Máximo cannot lower anyone, but today things are not even for her to lower anyone," says one of the eight leaders who during these months positioned themselves to be pre-candidates for president. In addition to De Pedro, Scioli and Rossi and Massa's flirtation, Juan Grabois (Frente Patria Grande), Claudio Lozano (Unidad Popular), Gabriel Mariotto (Soberanxs) and Sergio Berni (La 20 de Noviembre) launched from the FdT.

Underground negotiations

The explanation of why so much fragmentation was expressed crudely by Security Minister Anibal Fernandez: "Unless they bring Juan Peron from China, there will be STEP."

While there are several who have open negotiations to converge on the K list, those who do not feel content begin to hear what they have to offer in other bunkers. For example, it was surprising that despite the photo that Emilio Pérsico took with Cristina in the Senate, from the Evita Movement there have been polls with Sciolismo.

Consulted by Clarín, an important reference of the organization did not close the possibility of an agreement with the former governor of Buenos Aires. "We can compete for 15 municipalities. We have to have lists in those districts. See. In ten days we will publicly express who we will play with," he said.

The Evita is not an isolated case. In the campaign scheme of the ambassador to Brazil, they invoke contacts with other forces and list, among others, Miles, the party of Luis D'Elía, Proyecto Sur and Compromiso Federal. Meanwhile, they already consider closed the participation of the Party of Labor and Equity (ParTE): behind it is through his friend Claudio Ferreño, President Alberto Fernández.
