Summer is here. Meteorologists predict fantastic weather for the first weekend in June. These are the prospects for the coming days.
Munich – The meteorological beginning of summer on June 1 brings us fantastic weather with up to 16 hours of sunshine a day in most parts of Germany. In the north, the high-pressure area will briefly buckle at the beginning of the month, but meteorologists promise a quick improvement in the weather.
In the northern half, there won't be much sun at the beginning of the month. However, the south of Germany can still look forward to plenty of sunshine. And looking ahead to the first weekend in June, according to weather experts throughout Germany, there is hope for summer weather.

"Rain is not in sight, there is perfect holiday and leisure weather," reports meteorologist Georg Haas. And according to the weather expert from wetter.com, the sun will also prevail again on the coasts as early as Friday (2 June). By the weekend, the sky will be virtually cloud-free across the country, Haas announced.
Meteorologist Dominik Jung von wetter.net also promises the best summer weather for the coming days: "The first weekend in June will be a dream all over Germany." The permanent summer is expected to continue next week:
Friday, 2 june, 2023 | sunny and dry, 19 to 28 degrees |
Saturday, 3 june, 2023 | lots of sunshine and dry, 20 to 29 degrees |
Sunday, 4 june, 2023 | abundant sunshine and dry, 21 to 30 degrees |
Monday, 5 june, 2023 | sunny, later in the south isolated showers and thunderstorms possible, 20 to 29 degrees |
Tuesday, 6 june, 2023 | lots of sunshine, isolated showers and thunderstorms in the southeast, 22 to 29 degrees |
Wednesday, 7 june, 2023 | mostly friendly, isolated thunderstorms possible in the afternoon from the Black Forest to the Bavarian Forest, 23 to 30 degrees |
In the southwest, even up to 30 degrees are possible, but in return it becomes a bit more changeable and showers and thunderstorms can form from time to time. The heat remains and widespread rain is not in sight, according to Jung. "In most parts of the country, it will remain completely dry next week," said the weather expert.

Summer in Germany: Weather remains sunny and warm in the first days of June
For the time being, summer will remain in Germany in most regions. According to Jung, the showers and thunderstorms currently calculated in the south should still be treated with caution, because they can also disappear from the forecast very quickly. "The bottom line is that the summer weather is totally pleasant these days," says Jung. During the day it is not too hot and at night it remains cool enough to be able to ventilate nicely even in the attic. (hg)
