For 15 years, Alfons Huber was chairman of the Fraunberg Warriors' and Soldiers' Association. Now he did not stand for re-election. Markus Graser is his successor.
Fraunberg – The chairman of the Fraunberg Warriors and Soldiers Association, Alfons Huber, is no longer continuing. For health reasons, Huber did not stand for re-election in the new elections. At the annual general meeting in the Gasthaus Stuhlberger, a new head of the association was elected.
Alfons Huber was chairman for 15 years. During this time, he contributed to the success of the 90th anniversary of the foundation in 2010, the erection of the maypole in 2012 and the redesign of the war memorial in 2019. "With unforgettable excursions, great club parties and great holiday programs, he has enriched the community club life," Mayor Hans Wiesmaier thanked Huber for his work.
Former secretary unanimously elected as the new chairman of the Warriors
Subsequently, the previous secretary and ensign Markus Graser was unanimously elected as the new chairman. The 42-year-old comes from Fraunberg and is the father of a young daughter. Graser was Deputy Secretary from 2011 to 2014 and First Secretary since 2014.
Fabian Streinz from Fraunberg was elected as his successor. Graser's ensign post, which he has held since 2009, is now taken over by Jakob Angermaier junior.
The meeting commemorated the deceased members Werner Kahl (secretary from 2002 to 2014) and Manfred Huber (long-time flag attendant). The three young newcomers Johannes Daschinger, Moritz Fischer and Niklas Zehetner are pleasing for the Fraunberg warriors.

As secretary, Markus Graser then reviewed the club's events: 60 members came to the griabig summer party on the FC terrace. In October - for the first time after Corona - the warrior anniversary with the Dorfen town band took place again in the normal setting. In addition, the traditional Stefani Ball could take place on Boxing Day with musician Ulli Luginger and auctioneer Gerhard Zehetner. In addition, the horticultural association had taken excellent care of the war memorial.
Treasurer Kai von Fraunberg was able to record a small plus thanks to the successful Stefani Ball.
Subsequently, Mayor Wiesmaier, together with Chairman Huber, honored long-standing members of the association for 60, 50 and 20 years of loyalty with a badge of merit and certificate. Finally, the new chairman Graser announced that the barbecue and the Stefani Ball would take place again.
