In a letter Erez sent to Minister Kish, he wrote: "You called my cell phone and informed me that if I did not cancel the message I gave you intended to harm me personally. More precisely, and your words now: Know that if you don't cancel the announcement about Poland, I'll go out on you." The head of the teachers' union added: "This is how an education minister in Israel chooses to express himself in threatening and violent discourse."
