Ran Erez, chairman of the teachers' union, threatened Friday morning that the next school year would not open, but allowed teachers to attend graduation parties. The decision comes after he announced that high school teachers would not attend graduation parties and that there would be no transportation to Poland, and his decision was not changed by the court.
However, in a letter he wrote to the Finance Minister and the Education Ministry director-general, he is already threatening that if an agreement is not signed, the next school year will not start as usual. The comments come after a head-on confrontation with Education Minister Yoav Kish, whom Erez did not write to the letter.

In a letter Erez sent to Minister Kish, he wrote: "You called my cell phone and informed me that if I did not cancel the message I gave you intended to harm me personally. More precisely, and your words now: Know that if you don't cancel the announcement about Poland, I'll go out on you." The head of the teachers' union added: "This is how an education minister in Israel chooses to express himself in threatening and violent discourse."
