Two 17-year-old minors from Beit Shemesh were arrested earlier this week after allegedly committing serious and shocking sexual offenses against a toddler when she was two and a half years old. It is suspected that the acts were carried out at a construction site in the city over an extended period of time and on several different occasions. The police investigation has been completed and an indictment is expected to be filed against them in the coming days.
Earlier this week, one of those involved in the affair complained at the police station and exposed the deeds. The police investigation revealed that he was asked by another suspect, among whom he knew beforehand, to bring his toddler relative to an isolated place - a construction site in the city of Beit Shemesh. There it is suspected that very serious sexual offenses were committed there, including: rape, indecent acts and sodomy of a helpless person, abuse of a helpless person and more. Only after she began to cry did the complainant return her to the educational framework where she had been staying during the day.

Following his testimony, the complainant became a suspect himself for the acts he described, and within a short time the second suspect in the shocking sex affair was also arrested for questioning. The next day, the two suspects were brought before the court, which ordered the extension of the detention of one of the suspects (the main suspect) from time to time. The suspect who complained to the police (a relative of the toddler) was sent by the court to house arrest, which was also extended.
With the conclusion of the investigative activities that led to the collection of evidence against the suspects and the formulation of an evidentiary basis for the commission of particularly serious, cruel and shocking sexual offenses, a prosecutor's statement was submitted yesterday on behalf of the State Prosecutor's Office regarding the intention to file an indictment against the main suspect in the acts that was arrested. An indictment is expected to be filed against the second suspect, who is under house arrest.

VIP officer at the Beit Shemesh station of the Jerusalem District, Superintendent Aviad Balmas, said: "This is a serious and shocking affair with all that it entails. In all my years as an investigator and investigating officer in the police, I have not been exposed to a case that lacks humanity and mercy, as we found in this investigation, which was conducted with great sensitivity by the investigators of the Beit Shemesh station in recent days.
"As soon as the serious and unimaginable acts committed against a toddler at such a young age and a long time were exposed, we opened an investigation and arrested two suspects, one of whom is her relative. During the investigation, we understood that these were acts that were committed several times over a long period of time, and a variety of investigative actions were carried out that established the evidentiary basis against them into an indictment expected in the coming days by the State Prosecutor's Office."
