In June 2021, NBC aired Jane Marczewski's performance as part of the auditions for season 21 of "America's Got Talent." This luminous young woman of 30 years had proposed a personal composition entitled It's OK which reflected her extraordinary state of mind in the face of the formidable fight she was leading. Since the winter of 2017, the singer from Ohio was treating multiple cancers scattered throughout her body. Visibly emaciated by the disease and its treatments, the one who called herself Nightbirde had moved the members of the jury like millions of Americans.

Alongside Terry Crews, the host of the show, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofía Vergara, his fellow jurors, Simon Cowell was particularly touched and had granted his "golden buzzer" to the singer, synonymous with direct qualification for the final. Unfortunately, Jane Marczewski was unable to attend due to her deteriorating health. "Sharing my heart with the world on 'America's Got Talent' was an honor and a dream come true," she said on the show, in duplex. From my perspective, this summer has been astounding. What a miracle that the pain I went through can be transformed into the beauty that makes people all over the world open their eyes wider. Thank you for all your support, it means the world to me.

A magnificent tribute congratulated by the public and the jurors alike. "It's amazing that Nightbirde has been able to reach people all over the world, you deserve all our thanks," Mandel said. Simon Cowell had the greatest difficulty in containing his emotion when it came to speaking. "It brings back so many memories. I know how much it would have meant to her," he managed to say, with tears in his eyes. "Until the end, she was so passionate about sharing her music with the world and you come here with the most incredible tribute ever. It's astounding. The choir received a collective golden buzzer from the four jury members, the host and the audience of "America's Got Talent".
To honour her memory, Jane Marczewski's family created the Nightbirde Foundation (nightbirdefoundation.org) to help women affected by cancer. His Instagram account is followed by more than a million people. On the "America's Got Talent" YouTube channel, Nightbirde's audition is the third most-viewed video in the program's history with 56 million views to date. A posthumous album entitled It's OK was released last March and the profits from the sales are donated to his association.
