Tegernsee – Dramatic incident in Tegernsee: A man collapsed on Thursday at Schloßplatz. Immediately, passers-by provided first aid. The DLRG praises their efforts.
On Thursday (1 June) at around 14.45 p.m., a dramatic incident occurred at Schloßplatz in Tegernsee: "A male tourist lost consciousness due to a medical emergency" and collapsed on the sidewalk, explains the DLRG local association Tegernsee.
Passers-by react in an exemplary manner
Passers-by made an emergency call "and immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation selflessly and in an exemplary manner," it continues. At the same time, the Rosenheim Integrated Control Centre alerted the ambulance from Rottach and the emergency doctor from Gmund. In addition, additional forces from the Gmund Water Rescue Service and the DLRG Tegernsee were requested, who were currently on duty at their stations.
Rescue workers take over resuscitation
"So the Wasserwacht Gmund moved out with its lifeboat to the Bräustüberl, while the DLRG set off with its emergency vehicle," explains the DLRG. Together with the rescue service of the BRK and the emergency doctor, the water rescuers continued the resuscitation. "Hand in hand, the organizations fought together for the man's life, the cooperation went extraordinarily well," praises the DLRG. The patient was transported by Rottacher ambulance to Agatharied Hospital.
Thanks to the DLRG Tegernsee
"The prudent and courageous efforts of the passers-by, who showed civil courage and began resuscitation before the arrival of the professional rescuers, was truly exemplary. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to them," emphasizes the DLRG in Tegernsee.
