Daniel Scioli reiterated this Sunday that he does not intend to give up his decision to present himself in the PASO of the Frente de Todos as a pre-candidate for president and affirmed that it should be "the people" who define those who lead the ballots of the ruling party.
"It is very important that in this context of the Frente de Todos, of adversity, of different nuances, that it is internal democracy, society, that orders the candidacies," said the current ambassador to Brazil during an interview with Radio Rivadavia.
The presidential candidate and current ambassador to Brazil faces strong pressure from Kirchnerism within the ruling coalition to step down from his candidacy, but this Sunday he reconfirmed that his willingness to run is irreducible.
"
I don't know directly," he said about the K moves to make him change his mind. "They are dimes and diretes. I am convinced that in this context of the country, in this situation on the front, the PASO is going to empower us, it is going to integrate us, it is going to expand us," he added.

"
Why would they ask me for something like that? I was twice governor of the province, I was vice president of Néstor Kirchner, I lost the election by just over 1%. I am a person of a great renewed and improved experience. At a time when there is a space of demand towards the predictable, the sensible, let the people decide, "said the former governor of Buenos Aires, emphasizing that his experience and his profile, which is fueled by President Alberto Fernández.
And he went further to affirm his status as a candidate. "On August 13, people will find my ballot in the dark room, and with their vote they will make the best decision," said Scioli, who declared himself "convinced of being able to lead" Argentina to "the fundamental solution of its problems," a path that must be "hand in hand with growth" and "not adjustment or dollarization."
Scioli took the opportunity to highlight a characteristic of his own, but clarified that this is not a sign of weakness: "Do not confuse dialogue or moderation with not having firmness and determination. In my life I made many irreversible decisions, and in this case my candidacy is one of them."

Daniel Scioli on Javier Milei: "He skillfully interprets the anger".
The pre-candidate also commented on Javier Milei and his rise in the polls ahead of this year's elections.
The emergence of the libertarian economist has shaken the Argentine political scene, and his presidential candidacy at the head of La Libertad Avanza generates fears both in the Frente de Todos and in Juntos por el Cambio. Both coalitions have already begun to think that the first thing is to secure a place in an eventual runoff when the first round is voted in October.
"I know that there is anger, I have it very clear, and Milei very skillfully interprets that anger, particularly among young people," he conceded.
But he outlined an alternative: I want people to vote with hope, a better country, not with anger."
"He generates expectations, especially in many young people. You have to understand them. But I am going to create the conditions for many young people who left the country to find a better future to return. I'm going to persuade them, I'm going to convince them. I'm going to generate the conditions, I'm going to focus on that," concluded the ruling party candidate.
