In January, a mysterious donor offered two works by Banksy to the Secours populaire de Nantes. The charity decided to sell them. Policemen's Smiley, stencil by the anonymous artist, is offered for auction on June 14.
The first, a card depicting the Flower Thrower, was won during Don'Actio, a raffle -with tickets at 2 euros- organized by the popular relief of Le Mans in March. According to Ouest France, the work had been estimated at 800 euros by an auctioneer.

Policemen's Smiley will go under the hammer of Arnaud Oliveux of the auction house Artcurial. In the same vacation, sixty-five works donated by fifty-seven different artists for the exhibition Parages x Partages, will also be proposed. On the back of the cardboard, Banksy wrote "Enjoy your free Art!!!" accompanied by a smiley.
Organized by the Secours populaire Nantes, the event brings together, on the walls of Hall 1 of the Île de Nantes, works by Pedro, Soisig Chamaillard, Docteur Paper and Albin de la Simone. All under the curatorship of Jean Jullien, godfather of publishing.
