Highlights: Francisco Paoltroni is one of two opponents of Insfrán who challenged his indefinite re-election before the Court. The agricultural businessman challenges the original and exclusive jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation. The constitutional reform of 2003 in Formosa "is unconstitutional - worth the contradiction - because the republican form of government is lost," Paoltoni told this newspaper. He said he suffered persecution especially of an economic nature by Insfran's circle and assures that his party is totally independent.

His name is Francisco Paoltroni, he is an agricultural producer and filed the injunction before the Court against the indefinite re-election of the governor.

"We are all new people, workers who never participated in politics, whohave decided to change the history of Formosa." This is how Francisco Paoltroni, the man who filed a precautionary request before the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation that challenges the prolonged "reign" of Gildo Insfrán, who seeks an eighth term protected in his constitutional reform of 2003 with which indefinite re-election was enabled, presented himself to Clarín.

Being until now anoutsider of politics, Paoltroni presents himself on his Twitter account like this: "Candidate for Governor of #Formosa 2023. I want a province with more Freedom, Work and Progress. Agricultural producer. Married. Three children."

Born in General Alvear, Buenos Aires province, but living in Formosa with his family since 42, Paoltroni is one of two opponents of Insfrán who challenged Insfrán's indefinite re-election before the Court.

The other complainant is the national deputy of Together for Change Fernando Carbajal, who asked the highest court to postpone the gubernatorial elections of June 25, and asked that those who want to "perpetuate" themselves in power be "disqualified and challenged."

Paoltroni, focused on dethroning Insfrán by all possible constitutional means, grew in the last hours because his claim to the Court awaits to be treated days after the ruling of the highest court that disqualified Sergio Uñac from competing for another term of government in San Juan.

The constitutional reform of 2003 in Formosa "is unconstitutional - worth the contradiction - because the republican form of government is lost," Paoltroni told this newspaper. "This gentleman manages the three powers of the State, in view of all he has generated a poverty plan that brought everyone to decadence, precisely because he has absolute power," he added in reference to Insfrán.

Sponsored by constitutionalist Daniel Sabsay, Paoltroni challenged Insfran's candidacy before the Court for failing to comply with a basic principle of the republic such as alternation in power."

But he also incorporated in his request the respect of similar principles on the republican system and the interventions in provincial issues cited by Court Justice Carlos Rosenkrantz in his vote on the San Juan ruling.

In his caution, Paoltroni claimed "to suspend the elections for Governor of that province until the Supreme Court rules on the constitutionality of the indefinite re-election provided for in art. 132 of the provincial constitution."

As a "substantive action", the complainant asked the highest court "a declaratory action of unconstitutionality against the province of Formosa", to put an end to "the re-election without time limit for the position of Governor".

For the highest court to accept his request, the agricultural businessman challenges the original and exclusive jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation because his lawsuit is made against the province of Formosa, "for affecting the republican principle of government and altering the core of rights and guarantees protected by the National Constitution."

Paoltroni also challenged the candidacy of Fernando Carbajal before the Permanent Electoral Tribunal of Formosa, "for not having the real, effective and consecutive eight years of previous residence as established by our Provincial Constitution," he said.

Paoltroni is convinced that a new time is coming in Formosa. He said he suffered persecution especially of an economic nature by Insfran's circle and assures that his party is totally independent.
