The Argentine Agustín Canapino (Dallara-Chevrolet) culminated in the fourteenth position the IndyCar motorsport competition that took place this Sunday at a street circuit in Detroit, for the seventh date of the annual calendar of the traditional category of monopostos in the United States.

The 33-year-old rider from Arrecife had started in the twentieth location and developed an interesting race plan that allowed him to remain solid in the second peloton of a demand that included 101 laps, to the layout of 2,736 meters of extension

New Zealander Scott Dixon (Dallara-Honda) finished fourth, at 7:568, while American Alexander Rossi (Dallara-Chevrolet), who came to be escorted in the final stretch of the race, arrived in fifth place, just under 10 seconds behind.

The championship standings were as follows: Palou 273 points; Marcus Ericsson (Sweden) 222; Josef Newgarden (United States), 203; Scott Dixon (New Zealand), 194; Pato O' Ward (Mexico), 191; Alexander Rossi (United States), 176; Scott McLaughlin (New Zealand), 175. And Canapino? It occupies the twenty-fourth place in the contest, with 77 units.


The next race, the eighth of the season, will be on Sunday 18 in the town of Elkhart Lake, state of Wisconsin, with 55 laps of the 6,515-meter rope racetrack.
