Former Vice President Amado Boudou reappeared on Sunday after the operation he underwent in mid-May for an obstruction in the carotid artery.

"With what happened to me I gave myself a flower of fright, luckily now I'm fine," he said in dialogue with Radio Diez.

The economist had published on social networks, through the Twitter account of his partner, former Mexican deputy Mónica García de la Fuente, a thank you to the professionals of the Italian Hospital where he was treated.

"I just came out of carotid operation. Many thanks to the entire team at Hospital Italiano. ! What a great institution! Also to the excellent public health system of Neuquén. Kisses to Moni, Leon and Simon... The small family and the big family. To the friends of today and always, especially to you," he tweeted.

The former national official said he is in better health after the complicated episode he suffered from health and remembered Nestor Kirchner during his first operation.

In May, Boudou broke down while giving a talk in Neuquén.

Boudou broke down in May during an event in Neuquén, at the National University of Comahue, from where he was transferred to the Neuquén Provincial Hospital "Dr. Eduardo Castro Rendón" to do checkups and monitor his condition.

He was then referred to the Italian Hospital, where he underwent surgery to stabilize his health.

The former head of Finance, who is currently 60 years old, had gone to the province to give a seminar 40 years of Democracy in Argentina: 1983 – 2023 and when it was his turn to begin his presentation he broke down.

In 2018, Boudou was sentenced to five years and ten months in prison because people around him, when he was Cristina Kirchner's minister, stayed with the former Ciccone.

The conviction was confirmed in 2020 by the Supreme Court of Justice, for the crimes of passive bribery and incompatible negotiations of public function.

Boudou, who is leader of the Soberanxs group, also got involved during the report in the discussion about the candidacies and the electoral strategy of the Frente de Todos.

"I still think that Argentina needs Cristina to be a candidate and president. Politically he is the only person who can order this situation and lead the way forward," he said.

In addition, he said that if the ruling party runs away from the national and popular space, it will have an electoral fall. At the same time he pondered a candidacy of Cristina Kirchner, who has already ruled out that possibility.

"Cristina is the essential leader of the bond with the Argentine people. I don't think the election is lost, not by a long shot," he said.
