In an accident on a farm in Frauenneuharting (Ebersberg district), a farmer has been seriously injured, according to initial information.
Frauenneuharting - Apparently in a serious industrial accident, a farmer from Gersdorf (municipality of Frauenneuharting) has been seriously injured according to initial information. As the police confirmed, the man had been hit by overturning hay bales while working in a barn on the farm grounds.
According to a spokesman for the police headquarters of Upper Bavaria North in Ingolstadt, the farmer suffered several broken bones and had to be taken to the Rosenheim Clinic with his serious injuries. This is evident from the alerting report. The call from the rescue coordination center for the emergency services was made at around 15:20 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Fire brigade is alerted because of trapped - and apparently not needed
According to district fire officer Andreas Heiß, forces from the Aßling and Frauenneuharting fire brigades as well as the Ebersberg fire brigade, which has special equipment for rescuing trapped persons, were called to the scene of the accident.
An official press release from the police is still pending. The head of operations of the Frauenneuharting fire brigade was unable to provide any further details on the circumstances of the accident when asked, as the emergency services were not needed to free the injured person and therefore did not reach the scene of the accident.
