Special Envoy to Montpellier,
It's a head that we didn't necessarily see coming. "Everyone asks me why I'm here," laughs Benoît Hamon. The former socialist candidate for the presidential election of 2017 detonates this Saturday morning in the corridors of the college of economics of Montpellier. He is one of the few personalities of the left outside the PS to be present for these "meetings of Refoundations", the first gathering of the current of the mayor of Rouen, Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, internal opponent number 1 of Olivier Faure. A weekend of debates to "finally talk about ideas" and "get out of small sentences, sorry journalists", dixit "NMR". Other important personalities were to be present but, according to the organizers, the PS leadership would have heated the phones to dissuade them. "I find it null," sighs Michaël Delafosse, the regional of the stage as mayor of Montpellier. "Everyone is free in the Socialist Party. The management does not instruct elected officials."
