After selling out the Movistar Arena in the City twice, the Fabulosos Cadillacs went to Mexico and this Saturday night they set a new record of convocation in El Zócalo: more than 300 thousand people overflowed the place.

"We made history again, we broke attendance record with 300,000 people in the Zocalo of Mexico City enjoying the epic concert of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs with white balance," said in social networks, the mayor of the Mexican capital, Claudia Sheibaum.

"Thanks to all the audience for living up to it," he added in the post.

What could be seen is that a crowd attended. Shocking images of the show provided by Vicentico and company that with the call of this Saturday dethroned the popular Grupo Firme, which on September 25 had convened about 280 thousand people in the most popular square of the Mexican city.

The most important public square in the country and where the National Palace, residence of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, is located, was insufficient to see the Argentine band and the tide of thousands of people who took refuge in streets surrounding the Zocalo.

With 24 songs in just under two hours, the Cadillacs put on a show similar to the one they had presented in the City. A kind of "Greatest hits" where they reviewed mainly classics from their albums "El león" (1992), "Rey azúcar" (1995) and "Fabulosos Calavera" (1997). There was also room to revert some hits from the previous albums.

With Vicentico on vocals and Flavio Cianciarullo, bass and vocals, as leaders, the band opened the concert strongly by linking three of their classics "Cadillacs", the opening instrumental; "Manuel Santillán, el león", and "Demasiado presion".

Almost all the songs had a chorus of thousands of fans who filled the main square from 10 hours before the show and endured the intense sun and rain before the concert.

"Thank you so much, dear ones. Until always, it has been a great honor for us and this will be unforgettable!", said Vicentico at the closing of the show in recognition of the multitudinous Mexican audience.

In addition to Vicentico and Flavio, Sergio Rotman (saxophone), Mario Siperman (keyboards), Fernando Ricciardi (drums), Daniel Lozano (trumpet), members of the band since its foundation in 1984, stood out on stage.

In the concert there was also room for the sons of the leaders: Florián Fernández Capello (guitar) and Astor Cianciarulo (percussion, drums and bass), along with Joaquín De Francisco (trombone), who accompanied them in some of the hits.

The free show in Mexico was part of the recently launched "El León del Ritmo Tour" that took Argentines to the Coachella festival in Indio California in April.

With their performance in the Mexican capital, Los Fabulosos joined other artists and bands that have performed in that square, such as Roger Waters, Paul McCartney, Manu Chao, Café Tacvba, Los Tigres del Norte, La Maldita Vecindad, Silvio Rodríguez, Joan Manuel Serrat and Rosalía, among others.

After this presentation, the Cadillacs will return to Mexico to perform on November 4 in the city of Monterrey, on November 8 and 9 in Mexico City at the Palacio de los Deportes and on the 11th they will close in Guadalajara.
