Kia's crossover range continues to strengthen, with Telcar currently starting the latest Seltos in Israel, which received a facelift a few months ago. Kia Seltos, intended mainly for the American market, first arrived in Israel two years ago, and ranks in Kia's hierarchy between the successful Niro and Sportage. While these two have received new generations, and the new Niro is currently only offered in expensive plug-in and electric versions, the latest Seltos arrives to be an alternative to a compact family crossover at a relatively affordable price.
The price of the latest Seltos starts at NIS 156,160 for the basic model and NIS 9,000 for the fully equipped model, only NIS <>,<> less than the price of the basic Kia Sportage. However, the revamped model has undergone some important changes that help it be competitive even against competitors such as the Chevrolet Trax, Suzuki S Cross and Cherry FX.
Upgraded multimedia. New Kia Seltos,
As part of the facelift, an exterior update was made to the front that adopts new lighting units and an updated LED signature similar to other Kia models. A more significant change was made to the cabin, which is one of the weak points of the outgoing model, with the Seltos now having a more modern arrangement similar to the other Kia models that combines a digital instrument cluster and a multimedia screen (10.25 inches) connected as a single unit. Kia also promises improved finishing materials and soundproofing, while upgrading its range of safety systems with the addition of emergency rear braking systems and blind spot warning along with adaptive cruise control.
The propulsion unit remained unchanged. The Kia Seltos will continue to be powered by an atmospheric 2.0-liter engine without any hybrid boosting. The engine delivers 149 bhp at 6,200 rpm and 18.3 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm, mated to a sequential automatic transmission. The jump to 100 km/h is done in 9.3 seconds with a top speed of 190 km/h.
The Senior Premium trim level adds leather-faux upholstery seats, mood lighting, road sign recognition and adaptive cruise control.
