(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 04 - Last day of school, next week, in almost all of Italy: it starts on June 7 in Emilia Romagna, June 8 with Lazio and Lombardy. The 9th will be the last day in Trentino, the 10th will be the last day for most Italian students (Sardinia, Umbria, Liguria, Sicily, Piedmont, Calabria, Basilicata, Campania, Molise, Tuscany, Veneto, Marche, Puglia, Friuli Venezia Giulia).
The last to close the school year will be the students of Bolzano who will be in class until June 16 preceded, on the 15th by those of Valle d'Aosta.
In kindergartens children will attend until June 20.
Then the eighth grade and high school exams for high school students will follow. This year, the final examination of the secondary schools will involve 560,932 candidates (554,798 internal and 6,134 external). Calendars and tests are prepared by the individual schools. The written tests are: written test of Italian or of the language in which the teaching takes place, a written test relating to logical-mathematical skills and a written test, divided into two sections, one for each of the foreign languages studied.
This year there will be 536,008 students involved in the baccalaureate exam (521,015 internal and 14,993 external candidates), while the commissions are 14,000, for a total of 27,895 classes. The breakdown of candidates by type of study path is as follows: High schools: 267,758, Technical Institutes: 173,892, Professional Institutes: 94,358.
The examination boards are composed of an external president, three members from outside and three from inside the educational institution. It starts Wednesday, June 21, at 8.30, with the first written, Italian, common to all addresses. It continues on June 22 with the second test, which concerns the disciplines characterizing the individual study paths. Finally, an interview is planned to ascertain the achievement of the educational, cultural and professional profile of each candidate. (ANSA).
