Most rural: Benoît Castel Ménilmontant

The place. After a first life as pastry chef of Hélène Darroze then of the Hotel Costes and La Grande Épicerie de Paris, this native Breton found his place in the North-East of Paris, where he opened three bakeries-pastries-retro café with crazy charm: Ménilmontant, Timbaud and Sorbier. The first, located in the historic Ganachaud boutique, mixes bricks, large windows, old bread ovens, antique furniture, logs and an open lab, for a warm half-rustic, half-New York atmosphere.
