A 60-year-old electric bicycle rider was killed Sunday after being hit by a concrete mixer on Kibbutz Galuyot Road at Tel Aviv's Holtz junction. MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene reported a man with no signs of life, and were forced to pronounce him dead. The offending vehicle fled the scene, and police are now working to locate it. At the same time, an investigation was opened to examine the circumstances of the accident.
The accident was reported to the MDA hotline at 11:06. "An electric bicycle rider was hit by a truck on Kibbutz Galuyot Road at the Holtz junction in Tel Aviv. MDA medics and paramedics report a man with no signs of life and pronounce him dead," the statement said.

MDA medics Shai Bachar and Maidan Ben Yoash said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw the man lying on the road without a pulse and without breathing with a multi-system injury. We were told that he had been hit by a truck during the ride. We performed medical tests and he had no signs of life and we had to pronounce him dead."
