Who is José Sosa?

José Sosa was born in Carcarañá, Santa Fe June 19, 1985. He debuted in 2002 in Estudiantes de la Plata and in 2006, after being champion with the La Plata club, he was transferred to Bayern Munich in Germany.

He also had a victorious stint with the National Team. In 2003 and 2005 he was called up to participate in the U-20 Youth World Cup, although a last-minute injury left him out. He also played in the Argentine team that won for the second time in its history the gold medal in football at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

His debut in the senior team occurred on March 9, 2005 when he entered the field in the 86th minute of play for Rodrigo Palacio in a friendly against the Mexican team in the city of Los Angeles.

In January 2010 he was again called up for a friendly match against Costa Rica. The match ended 3-2 in favor of the Argentine team and Sosa scored a goal. He also participated in the qualifiers for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and achieved qualification. The midfielder was included in the shortlist of 26 players chosen by the coach although he was left out of the final list.
