With two Facebook posts, the Toten Hosen created a mood among the fans before their appearance at "Rock im Park".
Nuremberg – Headliners Die Toten Hosen had a supposedly "sad start" at the Nuremberg music festival "Rock im Park". With two humorous posts on Facebook, the rock legends entertained the fans before their eagerly awaited performance. Topic: A crate of beer.
Die Toten Hosen with a "sad start" at "Rock im Park" – right?
In a photo in a Facebook post, posted on Friday evening, June 2, band members Andreas Meurer and Campino show themselves with a crate of beer on a garbage can, right in front of the fence that surrounds the festival grounds. Both look into the camera, a little annoyed. Above the photo it says: "Sad start at Rock im Park: They don't want to let us in!"
Many fans are making fun of the post in the comments. For example, one user wrote: "Well, I wouldn't either. Too little beer. Cheers guys. Rocks this thing", provided with some laughing smileys. But one or the other rather poisonous comment can also be read. "Yes, what can you say? There are still organizers with good taste," commented one Facebook user.
Not so funny for the fans – the beer at "Rock im Park" increased the price considerably.

Happy ending: With an empty box, the entrance worked
In a second post, also on Friday and shortly after the first post, the band then dissolves the short fun: "Finally in! We're ready for tomorrow, rock in the park...," the band wrote over a photo showing Meurer and Campino next to an empty crate of beer. Campino, still with a bottle in his hand, lies completely knocked out next to the box, Meurer smiles relaxed into the camera.
In other words, the two members of the Toten Hosen didn't come to the festival grounds with a full crate – so they drank the beer without further ado, and were now allowed in. Apparently, Campino in particular had to pay a price for this.
With the humorous posts, the band got their fans in the mood and heated them up for the performance on Saturday evening, June 3rd – which was a complete success. With the first post, Die Toten Hosen got more than 15,000 likes on Facebook, with the second more than 12,000. A social media hit that was well received. In the second post, many of the commenting users are happy about the humor, refer to the "good old days" and celebrate the access that was still achieved. (FHZ)
