A dramatic accident took place Saturday afternoon in Sospel, in the hinterland of Menton (Alpes-Maritimes). A resident of the village hit his nine-year-old son at the wheel of his tractor, says the gendarmerie in Le Figaro, confirming information from BFMTV.
The child, who was crushed under the weight of the agricultural machine, was killed instantly. Immediately warned and quickly dispatched to the scene, the firefighters of Menton could not do anything to save the victim.
His parents are to be received soon by a psychological cell at the Pasteur Hospital in Nice. They will also be heard, including the father, as part of the investigation opened by the military to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy. "They are collapsed," whispers a gendarme.
