Highlights: Since the end of April, Andrea Kiewel has been welcoming celebrity guests and pop fans to the stage of the "ZDF-Fernsehgarten" in Mainz every Sunday. In yesterday's fifth edition of the 2023 season, a very special guest made his first appearance of the year: TV chef Armin Roßmeier. The audience celebrated his comeback extensively and hardly wanted to let the 74-year-old go. In 2022, he was only featured in six of 19 editions, and in 2021 he appeared in nine.

Mainz – Since the end of April, Andrea Kiewel (57) has been welcoming celebrity guests and pop fans to the stage of the "ZDF-Fernsehgarten" in Mainz every Sunday. In yesterday's fifth edition of the 2023 season, a very special guest made his first appearance of the year: TV chef Armin Roßmeier, who has been an integral part of the show for many years. The audience celebrated his comeback extensively and hardly wanted to let the 74-year-old go.

"Fernsehgarten" fans cheer for Armin Roßmeier

On the net, fans celebrated his return with comments such as "Armin is fine, now the world is all right again" or "Finally Armin is back".

But even on site, the audience could not hide their joy about Roßmeier's return: When presenter "Kiwi" wanted to move on to the next guest after his performance and say goodbye to the TV chef, the audience almost roared for the veteran. "Armin, Armin, Armin," could be heard again and again from the spectator stands. Eventually, even the presenter herself got on board.

Appearances by Armin Roßmeier are becoming fewer

Armin Roßmeier has been one of the most popular faces of the "Fernsehgarten" for many years. In the ZDF program, the 74-year-old reveals recipe tips and other interesting facts. In the latest issue, for example, he shared his tips for the perfect diet in summer with viewers.

But for some time now, the appearances of the popular TV chef have become increasingly rare. In 2022, he was only featured in six of 19 editions, and in 2021 he appeared in nine shows. More and more often, other chefs appear on the show. What do you think is the reason for this? His manager confirmed to "t-online" that Rossmeier wanted to cut back a bit, as he had other obligations.
