Highlights: Bad Wiessee's municipal council is calling for more attractive construction fences. A Green local councillor dislikes the optics of the construction sites. The municipality has already set a new deadline for the construction fence at the Wandelhalle. The mayor is also pushing for information boards about what is currently being built in the town centre. The town hall says that the responsible employees of the administration are aware of the problem and that they will also take care of it. It is also recommended that SME remove the dilapidated and already repaired construction fence.

There are currently many construction sites opening up in Bad Wiessee. A Green local councillor dislikes the optics - and he is not alone in this: The committee is calling for more attractive construction fences.

Bad Wiessee – One crater after the other is opening up in Bad Wiessee: These are the harbingers of the many construction sites that are facing the health resort. According to the local council, the land in question should at least disappear behind handsome construction fences. Johannes von Miller (Greens) addressed the "tiresome topic" in the most recent municipal council meeting.

Now that the civil engineering phase is also beginning in the town centre, the municipality should insist that decent construction fences be erected, von Miller appealed with a view to Marcel Dittrich's new construction project. His gaze also wandered towards the lake: The chipboard at the future Hotel Seegut von Athos was not pretty, said the Green councillor about the construction fence there. He asked to approach the respective builders "emphatically" and ask them to erect beautiful and artistically designed construction fences.

Old iodine bath: Here the construction fence should rather go

Emphasis is also recommended for another project, namely that of SME. Since no more construction activities have been taking place on the site of the former iodine-sulphur bath, where the Swiss investor had planned a hotel with a clinic area, the landowner should please remove the dilapidated and already repaired construction fence. "Where there is no construction, there is no need for a construction fence," said von Miller. In addition, the investor should be informed that the listed lobby had recently been entered by unauthorized persons. Here, the owner is obliged to take security measures, said the local council. As reported, there had recently been a small fire in the hall, previously young people had been there.

Florian Sareiter (CSU) also recalled that it had been the declared will of the municipal council that the builders proactively tackle the issue of construction fences. "They could step on the gas in this regard," Sareiter said.

Mayor pushes for informative construction boards

Mayor Robert Kühn (SPD) assured the municipal council that the responsible employees of the administration were aware of the problem and that they would also take care of it. In the meantime, SME has been informed that doors and windows are open at the Wandelhalle. The municipality has also already set a new deadline for the construction fence.

As far as the topic of construction sites is concerned, Bad Wiessee does not only want to push for construction fences, explained the head of the town hall, but also on information boards that provide information about what is currently being built here. "This is also an urgent part of it," said the mayor.
