In the video: Rabbi Pinto's remarks (PR)
Perseverance is critical in everything in life, but sometimes you have to be flexible, Rebbe Rabbi Pinto explained in his last lecture in Miami.
Rabbi Pinto explained that when we believe in something in life, we build faith in that matter to the point where we are locked into it and confident that it is the right and just thing, but many times we miss out on things that come up along the way.
Therefore, Rabbi Pinto added, a person should be open-minded. Consistent on the one hand - but on the other hand flexible and open to accepting and taking good things along the way.
"You have to believe and go what you believe, but always look around and maybe better ideas will come. People who always looked around did much better than people who believed in something but didn't look away," said Rabbi Pinto.
According to him: "A person has to be closed in the goal, think about the goal, believe in the way, but always have open eyes. That the goal he believes in won't make him ignore bigger things that are on the way."
"Some great things in business each of us had along the way, and he believed in one thing and lost them. How many things a person could have learned and achieved and strengthened, but he grasped one thing and lost everything else," the Rebbe added.
