The head of the IDF's Manpower Division, Maj. Gen. Yaniv Asor, will launch next week a series of changes and new adjustments to the Psychotechnical Rating (AB) tests of the First Order tests, intended for people with learning disabilities. As part of the revolution in testing, young people with learning disabilities will be allowed to use a calculator, they will receive breaks, and NCOs who suffer from severe math disabilities will be able to answer a modified test. In addition, when the changes are implemented, all NCOs will be entitled to a questionnaire reading.
The head of the ACA, Maj. Gen. Asor, also decided that following the responses provided to everyone, there is no longer a need to bring documents attesting to: arithmetic impairment, severe impairment in arithmetic, impaired rhythm or accuracy of reading. In doing so, a military source explained, the bureaucracy that until now required presenting documents to the Meitav unit or the various recruitment bureaus has been significantly reduced.

Other military sources added that all these changes were made after research, data analysis and consultation with professionals in the field of learning disabilities in the army and beyond, in order to adjust and update the changes in the most professional manner. In addition, anyone who testifies that he has difficulty in math and arithmetic subjects can request to do a preliminary chapter (which did not enter the DPR - AB grade), in which they will be checked if he suffers from dyscalculia.
This move by the Power Division will save significant money for parents who until now were required to pay out of their own money for tests and diagnoses, and thus, in effect, will reduce gaps between youth, and create equality between examinees, and in the process of exhausting them after screening and testing. This will indirectly prevent dropouts or motivational problems in new recruits. It is important to note that people with ADHD are required to continue submitting documents to the recruitment offices according to their need and situation.
