A young woman has been indicted for the murder of two of her newborns, whose bodies were found hidden in her house in Bû (Eure-et-Loir), announced Monday, June 5, the prosecutor of the Republic of Chartres Frédéric Chevallier.

Indicted for intentional homicide of minors under 15, the 28-year-old mother was placed in pretrial detention on April 27, said the magistrate, confirming information from L'Echo républicain. Miscarriage

According to the prosecutor's office, this approved home childminder had gone on April 19 to the gynecological emergency room of the Dreux hospital (Eure-et-Loir), due to bleeding. She told doctors she had a miscarriage after two months of pregnancy. However, information from her medical records indicated that she was due to give birth in May. Unconvinced by his explanations, the medical team warned the gendarmerie.

During a first search on April 19, the gendarmes discovered the body of a first newborn in a plastic bag hidden near the pump of the family pool. The young woman then explained to investigators, still according to the prosecutor's office, that she had given birth at home and that she had placed a towel on the baby's face, so as not to hear her scream. At this stage, we can not consider that he is anything other than victim, "said the magistrate, adding that the man had however had doubts about possible pregnancies of his companion.
