The Rock im Park festival in Nuremberg started without any major incidents. Nevertheless, the rescue workers noticed one thing.
Nuremberg - The Rock im Park music festival in Nuremberg has so far gone off without any major incidents. According to the organisers, around 70,000 visitors celebrated there on the first day of the festival, about 10,000 more than initially expected. Around 750 times, the rescue workers had to rush to the aid of celebrants – mainly because of minor injuries such as abrasions and cuts, said Sohrab Taheri-Sohi of the Bavarian Red Cross on Saturday.

This year, however, there are a conspicuous number of allergic reactions to mosquito bites. The emergency services also suffered from the attacks of the aggressive mosquitoes on the site with many trees around the dozen pond. There was a large-scale operation on Friday at a campsite because a power distributor was allegedly on fire. Firefighters and ambulances were deployed. On site, it turned out that a cable had coked.

Around 60,000 festival guests are expected to attend the "Rock im Park" this weekend in Nuremberg. Among them are numerous guests from all over the world - even from the "motherland of rock".
The fire brigade was able to extinguish this quickly, there were no injuries. On Saturday, numerous bands will once again perform at one of the biggest music festivals in Germany, including Die Toten Hosen, the US punk rock band NOFX and the British metal formation Bullet For My Valentine. At the same time, the twin festival Rock am Ring will take place at the Nürburgring in the Eifel. The same bands play there with a time delay.
