Because a cooking pot tipped over in the curve, a car driver lost control of his vehicle. There was property damage of over 25,000 euros.
Weitramsdorf/Coburg – An unfortunate incident, triggered by a pot of roulades and dumplings, led to a traffic accident in Upper Franconia on Sunday afternoon. The still hot food had landed in the lap of the 82-year-old car driver during the trip.
Cooking pot overturns in curve – driver loses control
As the police announced on Monday, the 82-year-old car driver lost control of his vehicle in Weitramsdorf near Coburg and then crashed into a car parked on the premises of a car dealership. Due to the impact, he was then pushed against another car.
The roulades almost made it safely to the dining table: As a police spokesman announced, the man was only a few hundred meters away from his home when the pot on the passenger seat tipped over in a curve. While the meat rolls landed in the man's lap, the dumplings were spread across the center console, according to the spokesman.

The car collision resulted in a total damage of 25,000 euros. The driver remained uninjured, according to police. The officers are now investigating possible violations of the Highway Code.
