Questioned on the first of June last on France Info on the idea of putting in place in France a law on gender change at sixteen years without parental consent, the deputy La France Insoumise François Ruffin tried to hold an electorally realistic discourse, which highlighted the social question. Clearly uncomfortable in his answer, he ends up saying: "We have a society that is deeply fractured in France. [...] In this climate of tension, of exhaustion of minds, we need appeasement, stability, rebuild bridges, repair fractures and not dig them further. In this context, we will not have to do everything that comes to mind, everything that is perhaps even good in itself. It will be necessary to look for ways to reconcile today's society."
