Leaders of PRO of Córdoba refused on Monday to add the governor of Córdoba, Juan Schiaretti, to Together for Change through a harsh statement in which they remarked: "We are not all the same."
They also ratified the support for the Luis Juez-Marcos Carasso provincial ticket for the upcoming gubernatorial elections, after learning of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta's intention to add Schiaretti to the space.
"We formally ask the president of our space to defend electoral federalism, our Cordovan leaders and the strategy of change we are defending," they said in the statement.
And they emphasized: "We reject the incorporation of Juan Schiaretti to the Together for Change front. We are not all the same. We are the change or we are nothing."
The letter, which bears the signature of Oscar Agost Carreño, president of the PRO of Córdoba, highlights the election in several municipalities of the province with "competitive unity lists" and points out that the objective is to work on an alternative for all Cordobans.
"The PRO of Córdoba is focused on working to give the people of Córdoba a reliable alternative capable of putting them as a priority for the coming Córdoba," the text concludes.
This Monday, the national table of JxC meets where the presidents of the Civic Coalition, Federal Republican Encounter, the PRO and the Radical Civic Union will discuss the expansion of the space and the eventual incorporation of Governor Schiaretti.
However, the debate moved to the media when presidential candidates Patricia Bullrich and Horacio Rodríguez Larreta came out to mark their position on the incorporation of the provincial president.
The head of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires stressed the idea of expanding the opposition coalition. "The change that is needed is very profound," said the head of government and presidential candidate, who stressed that the country needs a government "of national unity."
However, the Buenos Aires president clarified that he supports Luis Juez and that he traveled to the province several times to support his candidacy for provincial governor, elections that will be held next Sunday, July 25, along with Rodrigo de Loredo as a candidate in Córdoba Capital.
"I go and put my face in Córdoba and I will continue to support him throughout Argentina and within JxC, that there are differences – as happens throughout the country – does not mean that at the national level we are together. Within JxC when you go to the provincial we have PASO and there are differences in Córdoba, but I support Juez, "said Rodríguez Larreta.
On the opposite sidewalk, presidential candidate Patricia Bullrich was very critical of the possibility of incorporating the governor of Córdoba into a pre-electoral and governability agreement.
On Sunday, Bullrich stressed that in 80 municipalities of Córdoba, the JxC candidates "played for a profound change, of substance and without lukewarmness" and that in some cases they obtained triumphs against the provincial government.
"I congratulate them: those who won after more than 30 years of Peronist government and those who fought to change a model of power in Córdoba. We are not going to deliver Córdoba to the agreements of domes," tweeted the former Minister of Security
The head of the PRO advanced his refusal to add Schiaretti
Federico Angelini, current president of the PRO due to Bullrich's request for leave, announced that he will vote against the incorporation of Schiaretti and "that entire sector of Peronism, due to" the enormous number of contradictions.
"JxC has to be clear, it has to be very clear about what the path is, mark that path, and be coherent, and I feel that with this situation posed by some sectors of JxC we are doing the opposite," he said in a dialogue with Radio Rivadavia.
